WIDA “CAN DO” Descriptors by Grade Level:

You are probably aware of the English Proficiency level of the English Language Learners in your classes, but how does this translate to classroom expectations?  By using these “Can Do” descriptors provided by WIDA, you can get a better picture of how your students can actually be expected to perform in the areas of speaking, listening, reading and writing.  These descriptors are immensely helpful when writing and modifying lesson plans and activities.  They are useful for both classroom and exploratory teachers!
