TEXTBOOK STUDY PROCESS
2010-2011 School Year
1. Meet with department members to discuss procedure. (April-September 2010)
2. Contact appropriate companies to get sample textbooks. (June-September 2010)
3. Review textbooks and contact references. (Preview at least three textbooks: September-November 2010)
4. Complete “Textbook Adoption Form” including readability information, if appropriate. (September – November 2010)
5. Make a recommendation about textbook choice and submit textbook adoption forms. (November 12, 2010)
6. Meet with Tim Schell to discuss recommendations. (November – December 2010)
7. Presentation to BOE Curriculum Subcommittee. (February 2011)
8. Board of Education action. (February – March 2011)
9. Complete copy purchase orders on approved text. (March/April 2011)
10. Send completed purchase order to Tim Schell (The more punctual the purchase order, the better. (April - May 2011)
11. Department chair/coordinator/dept rep should check order when textbooks are delivered. Send packing slips and invoices to Mary Pfeil as soon as text delivery is checked for accuracy.
12. LMTC staff process textbooks before issuing. (July 2011).
