PURPOSE:
· To introduce and study music of jazz, rock, swing, musical and pop styles. We focus on singing accurate rhythms, articulations and phrasing as well as using a fuller chest voice.
· To provide a new singing and ensemble experience.
· To experience and practice choreography which is a central element to swing choir.
ACTIVITIES:
· Weekly rehearsals on Thursday mornings 7:20 - 8:05 Dec – May
· Performances: District Solo and Ensemble Festival March 3rd, MS Jazz Concert Mar. 19 th, Music In Our Schools Month Performance( in school), Spring Chorus Concert May 31st.
