Elizabeth Heiks has taught the Waunakee orchestras since 2008. Elizabeth grew up in a family of musicians and teachers.  Though cello is her main performing instrument, Elizabeth has also enjoyed singing in and directing choirs of all ages, as well as playing folk instruments around many a campfire. Other than making music with students, her favorite pastimes include canoing on pristine waters, reading 'Calvin and Hobbes', camping anywhere in the Great Outdoors, and playing with her neices and nephew. She currently lives in Madison with her husband Zac.
