The 8th Grade Band has been invited to perform with the High School Band for a home Football Game!!!  This is a great opportunity for our band students that promises to be a LOT of FUN!!  By combining with the HS Band we will be able to perform music we would not be able to play on our own AND we get an inside view of what it's like to be in the Waunakee Community High School Band!

Details:

• 2011 DATE: Friday, October 14th!
• 8th Band members will wear their marching uniform: purple band shirt, khaki pants, tennis shoes.  Shirts are available for sale/ loan. See Ms. Braun for help.
• 8th Band members need to be at the HS Bandroom with their instruments ready to warm-up at 6 p.m.
• We will sit in the bleachers with the HS Band and perform for the pregame and 1st/ 2nd quarters.
• We will remain in the bleachers to watch the HS Band perform the Half-time Show and cheer them on!
• After Half-time (approximately 8:30), 8th Band members will put their instruments away in the MS and are dismissed to watch the rest of the game with family/ friends, or go home.
• Like any other parade or concert, this is a graded performance.  Students are expected to attend.  Please click here to view the Music Department Performance Expectations.

This is a FUN & FANTASTIC opportunity for our students!  We are working hard on great music for this performance!
