Prairie Elementary School is a great place to be. I have been the counselor here for 12 years and truly enjoy it.  We are truly a family-- parents, students and staff work together, play together, laugh together, and cry together.

     My husband and I love Waunakee.  We have four grown children and eight grandchildren. We enjoy watching the Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers.  We enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and reading.

     Our school has a wonderful character education program that promotes good character in actions and words.  When people enter our building, they feel and see the positive school climate Prairie Elementary has.  This positive climate leads to a high performing school where student achievement is above the state and national norms. Our students also are involved in service learning projects, community service, and assist in programs such as Tree City, Go Green, and the Waunakee Neighborhood Connection.
