Students prepared for this project by creating Edible Color Wheels.  The Edible Color Wheel project gave students the opportunity to work in teams while reviewing basic color theory.

For the project, students created unique designs that were traced to create a kaleidoscope-like effect.  Using tempera paint, students created color wheels that used primary, secondary, tertiary, and complementary colors, along with their tints and shades.
