Students studied the paintings by Austrian artist Gustav Klimt. They noticed the patterns, colors, metallic accents, and long flowing clothing. Using printed out photos of themselves, students created scratchboard designs in the style of Klimt.
This Lesson was inspired by Kris Fontes from Union City High School in Pennsylvania. Please visit the following website for more information: http://www.krisfontes.com/klimt.htm
(I apologize for the photo quality. We used metallic scratchboard, so the patterns are sometimes difficult to see.)
