We began this project with a discussion of geometric and organic shapes.  We noticed that circles can be geometric and organic shapes and we brainstormed places circles are found nature.  We reviewd value and practiced making "reverse value" using white pencil on black paper instead of black pencil on white paper.

We talked about using our imaginations to imagine what our souls or spirits might look like if they were visible.  We practiced drawing organic shapes and lines to show movement before beginning our final copies.  We added our hands to show how we are each connected to our individual inner light or spirit.
