The State Certified Co-op Program is an opportunity for students to work with local business and industry partners to learn specific skills related to a particular career field.  Students typically enroll in this program Senior year.  For more information follow this link: State Certified Co-op Program

Waunakee Community High School offers State Certified Co-op experiences in the areas of:

A State Certified Co-op requires 480 hours of paid on-the-job work experience.  Students must complete a portfolio before the end of their experience to earn a certificate from the state.

The Work Co-opprogram is slightly different from the State Certified Co-op.  The Work Co-op class requires the same 480 hours of paid on-the-job experience and work with local businesses and industry partners to learn skills related to a particular career area.  At the end of the program there is no Certificate from the state.  The areas available for Work Experience are:

Students interested in participating in the State Certified Co-op/Work Co-op program should talk with their School Counselor, School-To-Career Coordinator, or their Career & Technical Education Teacher.
