Waunakee Styrofoam Collection
Monday April 18 through Wednesday April 20.

Did you know that Styrofoam makes up almost 30% of the space in our landfills? Do your part and drop off Styrofoam at one of two Waunakee locations and it will be recycled and made into picture frames by local business, Uniek Inc.
When is the drop off?
· Monday, April 18 through Wednesday, April 20.
Where are the drop-off sites?
Waunakee High School
Parking lot adjacent to Endres Manufacturing off of Century Ave.
Look for a large tent and UHaul truck.

What times are the drop-off sites open?
· 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
How much Styrofoam can I bring?
· As long as everything you have is the type we are accepting, there is no limit to the amount you can bring
· If you have more than a carful or two, please contact Bruce Wright at 608 849-9999, x 307. For larger volumes we may be able to coordinate transportation.
Who can drop Styrofoam off?
· Anyone! Both city of Waunakee residents and residents from surrounding communities can drop off Styrofoam products. Even business can drop off items as long as they are all #6, clean and not food-contaminated.
What Types of Styrofoam and EPS will be accepted?
· What will be accepted is clean number 6 Styrofoam, which is primarily block polystyrene packaging material. This is the bulky polystyrene that is used around computers, electronics, and other items. Clean cups and food packaging that has been washed clean will also be accepted. Printed or colored items will be accepted.
What Types of Styrofoam will NOT be accepted?
· The program will not accept foam insulation board, takeout boxes, or any # number 6 Styrofoam with food still in it. We will NOT accept packing peanuts. For information on how to recycle packing peanuts see the “Styrofoam” link at the Dane County Site.
Will there be future collections?
· Yes. The city of Madison is now offering regular Styrofoam Saturday collections every other month. This is open to all surrounding community residents. Please visit the City of Madison website for collection postings
