Honesty Activity

Here’s a great visual activity for honesty.  Begin by filling up a bowl of water.  Place a quarter on the bottom of the bowl and tell students that the quarter represents a lie that was told.  Give each student a penny, which represents another lie.  One by one have each student bring up their penny and drop it into the bowl to try to cover up the quarter.  Make sure their hand is at least 2 inches above the water line.  Afterwards, do a gallery walk past the bowl to see if any of the little lies (pennies) covered up the original lie (quarter)  Then write a journal entry or have a discussion about what this activity says about telling lies.
