Fall 2011 Conferences: October 18 (4-8 pm) & October 21 (8am-12pm)

Tuesday (October 18th) … 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
          - Conferences for Core teachers will be arena style in the gym
          - Electives teachers will be arena style in the cafeteria

Friday (October 21st) … 8:00 - 12 noon
          - All conferences will be held in classrooms

Spring 2012 Conferences: March 6 (4-8 pm) & March 9 (8am-12pm)

Basic Information on Conferences:

• Parents of students who are doing well may prefer to monitor student performance via Infinite Campus, e-mails, progress reports, and grade reports, rather than attending a face-to-face conference.
• Conferences take place on a first come, first served basis.
• Please limit conference discussions to ten minutes per teacher.
• If you need a more private conference with extended time, please arrange that on a date other than parent-teacher conference days.
• Shared staff are only required to attend one day of conferences per semester at our building.

Before the conference:

• Decide what you want to ask the teacher.
• Determine what you would share with the teacher about your child.

Think about questions you'd like to ask:

• What are your expectations for homework?
• Has my child missed any assignments?
• Is my child working up to his/her ability?
• What are my child's strengths, areas of special interest, and areas that need improvement?
• What can be done at home to reinforce what is being done in the classroom?

After the conference:

• Discuss the conference with your child.
• Start immediately on any course of action that has been agreed upon as a means of helping the child.
