We would like to welcome you to the 8th grade "Cre-8-ors" team. Your child has been placed with a team of teachers that consists of four core teachers and a Horizons teachers. As a team, we work very hard at developing a sense of community, responsibility, and high confidence. We meet together daily to discuss accomplishments, concerns, and activities that support our team's goals.
Your child's 8th grade year is one whose success is our priority. In addition to the skills your child already possesses, the positive habits and behaviors that he or she continues to develop this year are a springboard for high school, four critical years of his or her young life. To help foster these skills, we will expect that your child be on time for school and classes, show respect for administrators, teachers, and classmates, and be responsible for all assigned work and expected behavior. Please know that while our expectations are simple, it is imperative that they are closely adhered to for achieving maximum success.
Our team philosophy is to facilitate the education of our life-long learners. While this may sound simple, it becomes even easier if we all work together. We value ongoing communication with you to help us achieve this philosophy for your child.
