We want all students to have fun at student parties in a safe, orderly environment. In order to insure all have fun, the same behavioral expectations for school are enforced at parties.
1. Students are expected to treat each other and property with respect. Parent chaperones and staff are expected to correct inappropriate behavior as necessary. Students are expected to respond positively to adult direction.
2. When you arrive, wait outside the front of the building (even if your parent is helping out). Parents may come in for instructions.
3. Please bring your ID if you still have it. This will make your entrance to the dance quicker. If you do not have it, still join us.
4. If possible, bring a $5 bill. Exact change will get you in quicker, too!
5. We will form two lines to enter, those who have exact change and those who need change.
6. Dress code- what you can wear to school, you can wear to the dance. If you can’t wear it to school, don’t wear it to the dance.
7. Exception to the dress code- hats. You may wear hats- rim facing forward.
8. Cell phones- they may not be used at all during the dance. If you bring them, they MUST remain in your pockets. If we see them, we take them.
9. Once you enter the dance, you may not leave until the dance is over.
10. No drama- we expect you come to the dance to have fun.
11. Food and drink is available for purchase- pizza will be available at this dance, but not at all dances.
12. Food and drink may not be taken into the gym.
13. No running. This is a dance, not phy ed class.
14. Slow dances- only about 3. Must be 12 inches apart from your partner, hands on hips and shoulders.
15. Respect the chaperones that have given up their time to help out at your dance.
Students who are unable to meet these simple expectations may be given time out with an adult, or parents/guardians will be asked to come and pick up their child. Participation in future parties may be restricted based on behavior at the party.
