TUTORING: ACADEMIC RESPONSE TO INTERVENTION PROGRAM
This program is a Tier II Response to Intervention program for students whose teacher(s) or teams have determined their student is not succeeding due to academic challenges in the areas of math and communication arts (No Child Left Behind mandates require monitoring of these two areas). Tutor support is provided for students with the greatest demonstrated academic needs, specifically based on D/F grade status, equivalent percentages, or other objective test data.
Teachers will have the time and opportunity to assess student achievement levels and initiate their own in-classroom interventions (Tier I interventions) prior to referring students for tutoring support. Students who are receiving other programs and services are not eligible for tutoring services. Scheduling for tutor services is based on the availability of our school Para-educators. Please refer the the materials below for more detailed information about tutoring services.
Our Para-Educators, Ms. Linda Meffert and Ms. Jessica Block, are responsible for coordinating the operations of the Tutoring Program.
