Welcome to Summer School 2027!

Summer with Waunakee Community School District is where curiosity, creativity, and community come together! We had an incredible 2026 session with over 2,800 students. We can’t wait to welcome your family back for another unforgettable summer.

Whether your child wants to dive into the arts, explore science, stay active in athletics or get a smooth, confident start to their Kindergarten journey, we have something to spark every interest. With over 500 class offerings and sections planned, 2027 is shaping up to be our best year yet!

Program At-A-Glance

• Who Can Attend: Open to all students entering grades 4K through 12th grade in the fall who live within district boundaries or currently attend WCSD. (Please note: Summer school is not available to non-resident students who do not attend the district.)
• Schedule: Classes run Monday through Thursday. Exact dates for next summer will be announced shortly.
• Cost: Summer school programming is FREE for eligible families! (The only exception is our one-week Camp Invention program, which carries a separate fee.)
• Transportation: Bus transportation is available for eligible students.

• Dates for our upcoming session will be announced later this fall.
• The course catalog will be available around March 1st.
• Registration typically opens in April.
• Registration closes May 15th. Please note that no late registrations are allowed, so we encourage families to bookmark this page and check back regularly for official dates, course guides, and updates.
