BLOOD DRIVE
The high school will be hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, January 29 and Wednesday, January 30. More more information, please visit the blood drive website.
NO SCHEDULE CHANGES
ATTENTION STUDENTS: No 2nd semester schedule change requests will be accepted unless you meet one of the following reasons:
- Your schedule is incomplete (missing a course during a certain hour) or overbooked (more than one course is scheduled in the same hour)
- You have two study halls on the same day
- You failed 1st semester of a year-long course
- You are enrolled in the apprenticeship or youth options program(s) and need work release or release to attend outside classes
- You have an IEP or 504 plan in which your case manager recommends a change
If you have any questions or concerns, please discuss with your counselor. Thank you for your understanding as our school community continues to grow.
ACT PREP SESSIONS
Fall sessions for 2018-2019 will begin Tuesday, October 9, 2018 and winter sessions will begin Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Students should plan to attend all seven classes/sessions. Enrollment is limited to 25 people. Please visit the link below for more detailed information.

WNC is having two kick-off sessions for our Student Team this month. The team is open to any Waunakee student in grades 7-12.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congrats to Liz Hankins for completing her Big IDEA semester project. Liz has worked hard all semester to bring her idea of a ukulele to life. Liz used Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Fusion 360 to draw and generate the tool paths for milling parts of her project. She used our Forest Scientific Corporation CNC router to shape the body and the neck and Makerbot Industries to 3D print the some of the other misc parts. Liz used the Universal Laser Systems VLS 6.60 and Adobe Illustrator to engrave the body and fret board with a design her sister made. Congratulations to Grace Kim on her selection to perform at the Final Forte at the Overture Center of March 13, 2019 @ 6:45 p.m. Grace will be performing Saint-Saens Concerto No.1, Mvts. I and III with the Madison Symphony Orchestra and the performance will be broadcast live on WIsconsin Public TV and Radio.
Congratulations to all DECA District Competitors that competed at Sun Prairie High School on January 12! The fact that you gave up most of your Saturday, took a test before finals week, and studied your performance indicators for both of your case studies is impressive. Waunakee is proud of you. Here are the results.
